Welcome to the

 Women's British Columbia

Zone 6  Website

Zone 6 encompasses the Mid to North Vancouver Island from Duncan to Port Hardy, which includes Port Alberni and Powell River. Currently we are composed of twenty-two diverse and challenging golf courses.

Our golf season ranges from April 1 to September 30, but with our temperate climate many members golf all year round. This is definitely one of the many plusses of living on Vancouver Island.

Zone 6 Women's Executive are pleased to provide assistance/liaison to member clubs in the areas of Course Rating, Handicapping and the Rules of Golf. In addition, the Zone also plans and organizes the Ladies and Senior Ladies Championships for qualifying for the BC Women's and Senior Amateur.

Our focus for 2025 is to give back to the community, and how we do this is by setting up clinics for junior golfers and for women new to golf or just trying to continue getting better at this game we love. It is everyone's responsibility to help grow our membership. We have asked each captain to reach out to the Pro at their course and find out which clinics are needed, and to get four dates in early spring on the calendar to host these events. We, the Zone, will fund this expense, along with our partners at BCGA.

We shall be working along with our Junior Chair, Monique Syring-Saindon (zone6juniorschair@gmail.com) to help promote as many clinics for school age children within our communities. If you have ideas to share please reach out to her as we are always looking for new insight on making our Zone standout as ambassadors to growing this amazing game we have all enjoyed, and the best part is the friendships we have made along the way.
