Zone 6 encompasses the Mid to North Vancouver Island from Duncan to Port Hardy, and includes Port Alberni and Powell River. Currently we are twenty-one diverse and challenging golf courses, with about 1400 lady members.

Our golf season ranges from April 1 to September 30, but with our temperate climate many members golf all year round.

This year, 2026, the Zone will be focusing on a new relationship with BC Golf. We will be working with BC Golf on the Zone Womens' Amateur/Senior Amateur Championship which will be held at Pheasant Glen in May.

The Zone will also hold two other tournaments: the Scramble at Cottonwood in June, and the Fourball at Sunnydale in July.

Our Spring Captains' Meeting was held at Arrowsmith on April 20th. The AGM for 2026 will be held on Monday October 5th at a location to be decided. Watch this space for details.

This is a transition year where we start to work more closely with BC Golf. We have a smaller executive and fewer tournaments. We hope to expand this list of tournaments in 2027 if we see reasonable support from members. If we have more participants, courses are happier to have us and allow us to have Shotgun starts. If our tournaments are smaller, the cost is higher and shotgun starts are not possible. Club Captains, please support your Zone by encouraging participation in the Zone Tournaments.
